I collaborated with my first startup's leadership team more than 20 years ago to come up with these principles and I've been striving to live by them ever since. Whenever my life has gotten off track, I can always trace it back to one of these principles.

As entrepreneurial leaders, we have to make tough decisions. We are a unique breed that chooses to take risks others would never even consider. Most people believe we're crazy for doing what we do. But we know otherwise. 

My then-wife left me when I started my first company. Yes, it was hard but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I had very little money at the time, but 5 years later I was a millionaire. And I've been happily re-married for more than 20 years. ❤️
